In the wake of the Bach year 2000, Nikolaus Harnoncourt presides over an important new recording of the "St. Matthew Passion" with Concentus musicus Wien, the pioneer historic performance ensemble founded by Harnoncourt in 1953. Two famous choirs and a stellar line-up of ten international soloists complete the performing forces.
